Perfect for developing fine motor skills!
My almost 6 year old needs help with fine motor skills and it has been great. It was very difficult for her at first, but after 1/4 of the frame of the picture she got used to it completely, and she did the rest herself. It's a very strong fabric, which is good as it really pierces the needle and then pulls the thread, but at the same time is soft enough to work with. I couldn't be happier. We both love this set.
