I love these beads and the whole idea but many picture cards don't match patterns/boards making them very difficult for young children to use these projects. The star stencil isn't cut well, the corners aren't sharp enough, and when it's done and off the board it doesn't look like a star at all. Another pattern which I believe is a rabbit is very odd and pointless to use. In addition to the standard square and hexagonal shapes, there are 2 more subtle ones. Christmas tree and heart. I bought this for my almost 4 year old and I still love it. He easily uses the pen and tweezers included in the kit.
