The cotton blend fabric is soft and comfortable with some stretch for a snug fit. Size 7-8 fits my daughter but someone can be small. Shirts hold up well to washing, do not shrink and do not pill. The only thing that bothers me about these shirts is the sophistication of the embellishments. Although they are securely attached, I am concerned that repeated washing or rough play could loosen or damage them.
