The product itself is good price and quality. Unfortunately they don't pack it very well for shipping. The outer layer is frayed and because it doesn't protect the ends well, the factory edge is often dented and unusable. I was able to get around this and a foot or so of damaged material isn't a big deal on a 100ft roll, but I've seen it get annoying with smaller amounts. I also received protective coated rolls. foil on the back. This is a problem because if the edge of the film curves away from the window during application, the edges tend to lift and create bubbles. I've installed this in four rental homes and found these things important. 1. Precut to size (I subtracted 1/4 inch from each size to allow room for window fabricator sealant). Do not try to trim during installation. You will regret it. 2. Clean windows by spraying cleaner and scraping with a blade. 3. If possible, ask someone to help you finish cleaning the next window while you clean the last Application 5. Wipe the squeegee from top to bottom and center, using the edge of the previous pass in hold the center of the squeegee for the next pass. You can see it pushing a water wave and you don't want that wave sloshing up or you won't get good definition. One last thing about thickness. I measured them at 7.5 mils *with pad* and about 6.5 mils without. I think calling it 8 mil is wrong. The manufacturer claims it is stronger than other manufacturers' materials, but I haven't seen any technical reason or test results to support this.
