Overall this dash kit is very easy to install. I only needed the metal brackets from the standard stereo, not the black plastic brackets that came with the dash. I've always wondered what those things are for and why I can't build a stereo system with them! Maybe it's because my new stereo had a metal grommet and it wasn't necessary. Also, the plastic on the AC and thermostatic switches on the back of your factory stereo may be brittle. Be very careful not to break the parts when removing these switches to transfer them to the dashboard. You need both switches and knobs of a standard stereo system. The only problem I have is the airflow direction switch. Parts broke off and after installation I was left without heat until my new switch arrived in the mail. These switches are not easy to find! just be careful
