Let me start by saying that it took me almost an hour to commit to this after reading review after review. All in all, it's probably the best of them all, so don't let my 3 stars fool you. Let's start with the good. First off, the opening for the base of the jar is over 3.5 inches wide and almost 4 inches diagonally. Even the widest base of my glasses fit with no problem. It also appears to be very well constructed; The metal is thick and durable, and the finish is perfect all round. Now let me argue a little. First, the stance wasn't perfectly "flat," if that makes sense. When I mounted it I had to put a lot of effort (again thanks to the thickness of the material) to keep the top flat on the surface I mounted it on. If you hadn't been paying attention, the end result would have been a complete mess. For that I deduct 1 star. Second, even though it's advertised as over 10 inches deep, it's an unusable 10 inches. Obviously some guy wrote that because the actual usable depth of the rails is only 9 inches. Technically 3 medium sized jars would fit on the rails but with that 3rd jar you're really close to the edge and if your house is moving a bit due to a heavy car going by or someone stomping around overhead I'm worried about the third Glass might end up deciding to end it all. It should also be noted that I used my own screws as the screws provided are very short and I had to drill through the cosmetic layer to access the wood of my cabinets. I've read some other reviews where the included screws have sheared off but I can. Don't comment on that. If it bothers you, it might be worth investing in some quality screws. Overall, this is probably the best metal rack I've bought, but I really wish it was just 1 inch lower.
