Review on AETAPETi Cat Door: The Perfect Solution for Interior and Exterior Doors, Sliding Screens, Glass Windows, and Door Flap Access for Your Feline Friends by Max Stallworth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The thickness is about 3 inches.

So, read the description (Specification: Panel (frame) Size: (9.85" H x 9.25" W x 2.17" thick); Valve size: (7, 6"H x 7.1W); Adjustable Thickness: 0-1.97" I thought this would work for a window. I used 3/4" plywood to make the panel (14" wide) to create and cut a hole for the door in the wood panel I needed to bevel the back of the panel so it would slide into the window openings (bottom and side) and form a weather barrier. The screws provided were of average quality and I had to pre-drill holes to get the screws into the wood (one screw came loose). I wanted the front to be decorative I painted flowers and a picture of a cat but the back which is inside will be the blinds closed so i just painted them neutral color the window is 4 feet off the ground al so i built a little ledge with 2x4 for the cat to get in and out of the door. The air conditioner is under the window so they tend to step on it first. The device works great and since there is a cat that is not allowed outside I only use it as an ENTER function.
