Purchased less than 2 months ago. My nephew just turned 16 and is getting his driver's license. I thought it would be a great gift for a new driver. I bought a 3 pack. I kept one for myself. I never expected to be able to use mine. But 3 days ago the rented road gave way under my loaded trailer and I collided with a beaver pond. Another driver was present and witnessed this. If you hang yourself upside down from the seat belt, the tension in the belt makes it impossible to undo it. Another driver got into my truck, opened the driver's door and I handed him my Resqme rescue device. A razor sharp seat belt cutter cut through the seat belt and freed me. However, the power window on the windshield did not work. I think it's because the windshield is stronger and thicker than the side windows? With the help of another driver, I was able to get up through the driver's door and then jump to solid ground. This is a trip that I will hopefully never take again! Needless to say I have already ordered more and the driver who helped me was so impressed with this little rescue tool that he will be ordering one for himself!
