First off, let me say that I'm hardly an expert on computer displays and have a lot more experience with HD LCD TVs. This is my first TFT display and I am absolutely blown away by how much more appealing Windows Vista Aero is. I'm running the display at 1440 x 900 and it looks bright, crisp and the colors are perfect. The display comes with a fairly advanced HP My Display customization tool for those who really want to tweak the settings for maximum color accuracy, brightness and sharpness. I haven't had to use this yet as the default settings seem too good to make anything even better. If you have used a regular LCD or CRT monitor, buying such a reliable TFT display is well worth the money. It's like wiping away the cloudy film that collects on a car's windshield. The speakers are comfortable but of poor quality. That didn't stop me from giving the device a 5 because I expect the same from the built-in speakers. They are not visible, they are at the bottom of the monitor. In terms of quality, they are probably on par with the quite good built-in laptop speakers (the main problem is the lack of bass).
