Review on Shock Doctor Ultra Ankle Support by Jason Pruett

This orthosis is very uncomfortable and difficult to put on. The laces have to be pulled almost all the way in order for the brace to open wide enough for the foot to be inserted, meaning it has to be completely replaced each time. I have a hard time pulling the laces tight enough along the curve of my ankle to get the support I need, but I need to be looser at the lace and calf so it doesn't feel like she or cutting the edges of the orthosis into my skin. . When I read the description of this orthosis, my main thought was that it is a solid support with reinforcements on the sides to stabilize the ankle. It has nothing but a few Velcro strips to wrap and support the joint. If I still had the packaging I would send it back. Not the best brace if you need really strong support.
