Bought a Riccar 2000 some time ago, has to be the best vacuum I have seen in thirty years. Last I heard it's still made in the USA. We buy Riccar disposable bags from Revain because of the price and convenience. And the pockets WORK, couldn't ask for more. We really like the attached glue valve, which is used to close the mouth of the full vacuum bag when it's removed from the machine. We have two Springer Spaniels and do I need to mention the dog hair? Of course, the amount of hair that falls out depends on the season. When they're falling the hardest, we usually sweep what we can BEFORE releasing the vacuum. This extends the life of the vacuum bag and makes it more economical. I usually buy two packs of 6 at a time as the price is relatively cheap and a dozen packs lasts about a year.
