I was looking for a set of portable speakers that would sound like my favorite open cans ATH-AD900. While they differ significantly from the AD-900 in many ways, their frequency response is remarkably similar. Of course, this isn't the only measure of how headphones sound, but it's a good indication of overall sound quality. Overall they remind me a lot of my AD-900 aside from the soundstage and noise leakage. The bass is nice and tight without overpowering anything, and the upper mids and highs really shine through. The first few days will be a little uncomfortable, but once they stretch a little, they become a lot more bearable. The folding design is good too, perfect for what I need them for; Throw them in your laptop bag and forget they're even there. The only real complaint is that the cable is pretty brittle; I actually accidentally cut the cord when opening it lol. However, serious work is not that difficult when it is finally implemented. And for $50? i can't win
