Review on Dowco Guardian 26010-00 UltraLite Water-Resistant Medium Grey Motorcycle Cover for Indoor/Outdoor Use by Victor Jack

Edited: Not bad for a 600cc sport bike

PROS: The medium size is perfect for my 600cc sport bike. Came with a compression bag that feels nice. Good quality, light weight, easily fits in my packed backpack. On windy days it was completely blown away, I had to fasten it with a tie (that's why there are eyelets in the bottom cover). Inexpensive. CONS: It would be helpful if there were color graphics on the outer shell so you intuitively know what's on the front and what's on the back. I often pulled back the lid with the vent. I've marked "Front" and "Back" with a thick spine marker and it helps, but still takes a little longer to get your bearings. After 8 months, daily exposure to the sun thinned the fabric slightly, leaving a 6 inch tear. I sealed it with tape and that fixed it, but I assume it will be time to replace it before a year has passed. If it were more durable, it would probably be heavier and bulkier when boxed. So far it has served me well. Update: Under the scorching Southern California sun, the fabric has peeled off like an ancient papyrus. I need a whole roll of pipe. tape to fix it. Cheaper to buy the same. It took 9 months, about $3 a month, about the same as a cup of coffee and tips a month, compared to $50 a month for a covered garage. It drains water fairly well, although condensation does collect on the seat and bike underneath. Overall still a lot.
