It's a very bright light per se. Even on the lowest/warmest settings, I can't imagine having this in front of me during a call as it hurts to look directly at it. Maybe I have sensitive eyes and other impressions will be different. Anyway, I need a way to diffuse the light. That's good because when I was out shopping and reading various reviews, my initial concern with these types of lights was that they would be too dim. I tried to make a "softbox" out of packaging material. Although I'm afraid this isn't a good long-term solution due to the fire hazard. See photos.
