I carry my AirPods on my keychain...always. For me this is not the case. It's very learn and protect. But the case opens with little to no effort, which is why my battery always dies and sometimes the AirPods fall out. When I got out of the car last night, the lid appeared to be open and the AirPod fell out, hit the ground, and rolled under the parked car. Another time the AirPod fell out and landed under my car seat (but I didn't realize it at the time) and later when I went to the counter I realized it was missing and almost had a panic attack! While this is a great case for some, it's not for me. I was ready to leave the house but found my case lying wide open on the key board, dead. So all in all not a bad case, very nice and sturdy... if not attached to everyday keys, great.
