This mattress pad does not breathe at all. It traps heat and your baby will wake up very sweaty. My son wakes up so sweaty after sleeping if the room is ever over 68 degrees. The sleeping climate should be below 68Β° and then you need a blanket. The idea of this mattress being waterproof was a good one, but it doesn't allow air to circulate when your child is using it. They sweat when it's hot and just sleep in their wet, sweaty pajamas. My son woke up screaming because this mattress was getting hot. It needs to be redesigned and made from a more breathable material.
