The proximity sensor that controls automatic playing and pausing seems to only react when the ear is pushed firmly; yet, the sensor starts behaving in an irritating manner as soon as the ear is approximately located in the wrong location. Even when it is turned off, there is still a sound notification that squeaks at idle whenever the sensor loses or finds an ear. Yes, I would turn off this feature and forget about it safely. However, even when it is turned off, there is still a sound notification that squeaks at idle. In addition, the exterior of the left earpiece contains a sensor that can be used to initiate a call to a personal assistant. But, despite the fact that the application is meant to have this feature deactivated, you may still see it. It is necessary to restart the headphones in order for them to become operational again. As a direct result of this, if you make any kind of adjustment to the headphones, you will be inundated with notifications, either from the proximity sensor or from the assistant, depending on which one was activated. By resetting the headphones to their factory settings (which I did by holding down the volume + and - buttons for five seconds), I was able to fix the problem with the assistant. I also solved the problem with the application by simply turning off the assistant and not turning it back on again. In this specific case, the sensor that is located on the left earpiece does not respond in any manner to being touched at all. At the time that this article was written, the most recent version of the firmware available was 3.4.0. When there was an update to the firmware, the application didn't send me any notifications; all I had to do was click on the version, and then suddenly I got an ate. By the way, the application didn't send me any notifications. A sensation that is comparable to that of having a vacuum in one's ears (even in the absence of noise reduction and while utilizing the transparency mode), which leads the head to start hurting. As was the case with vantus in the ears, it was difficult to make use of it in any way. These JBL Live 460NC headphones are very similar to the first pair, but their ear pads are smaller. As a direct consequence of this, the headphones in question do not induce the vacuum effect. In addition, they have the same problems with the sensors, but because of the compact factor, these problems are not as obvious.
