Great when it worked

I was trying to replace an old Wi-Fi card in my Alienware 17 R3 laptop with an Intel AC-9260. I had to uninstall all the old wireless and bluetooth drivers, remove the old hardware, do a network reset, etc. I then installed the card and drivers and the new AC-9260 worked great. As soon as I turned off the laptop, the card stopped working when I turned it back on. I've gone through all the steps of uninstall, network reset, and reinstall multiple times, but after the initial setup it stopped working. I finally tried installing the Intel AC-8260 into the laptop and it worked straight away with no issues. I don't know what the problem with AC-9260 is for my system. I'm tired of playing around with this and I think I'll stick with the older card. Searching Intel's support site I found that I'm not the only one having this problem with the AC-9260. It seems that there is no definitive solution at the moment. Let the buyer be alert!

Cons
