Review on 🌈 Luxli Cello 10" RGBAW LED Light: Masterful Lighting at Your Fingertips by Tim Springer

I recently received this Luxli Cello and Diffusion Softbox. I was expecting to use it mostly for colored backgrounds, accents and maybe hair fills or highlights. The output level is very impressive and I can use it for close-up shots with the softbox. The RGBW color palette is really big. Please note that LEDs cannot produce bright yellow, but this is not a shade that I plan to use very often. The color imitation is amazing. From the reviews I've read, the gel simulation seems very accurate. While you can choose from many RGB color variations, gel simulation gives you the most reproducible control. Interesting special effects. My only problem is that I have yet to find a way to make the transitions completely smooth when the cello switches between colors. I hope it's the operator on my side. The Diffusion Softbox is made out of rubber so it can be a bit tricky to work with. The dispersion is very good though, and since the softbox can "fold" when attached to the cello, it's an easy way to protect the light and store the softbox. The weakest link in the product is actually the smartphone app. . On my iPhone 8S it's prone to crashing. The app has some powerful features such as: B. the ability to select colors with your phone's camera and cycle through different colors. I hope that Luxli will continue to develop the app as it has the potential to significantly increase the value of their line of lights. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase as I'm sure it will find widespread use. The cello also makes me think of the larger Luxli timpani as a future purchase. Aputure will release an RGBW light this summer, but it'll likely cost $700 to $900 more than the Timpani.
