Review on πŸ”§ Riiai Pocket Hole Jig Kit: Ultimate Woodworking Joinery System for DIY Furniture & Projects by Kenneth Foster

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Will be replaced with Kreg's version before I build my next face frame

He doesn't like narrow rails or posts. You either have to adjust the rubber vise to grip the workpiece very tightly, which then flexes the thin struts that hold the clamping block upright, or you have to hold on to your workpieces very tightly or else your workpiece will move to the right of the rotary motion of the bit. The beat is very low quality and doesn't like maple at all. Maybe good for pine or poplar. After 5 holes I went to my base Kreg and stole the bait from him. It helped, but not the detail hiking. Also, "the platform your part indexes/lands on has two different heights because the center piece is a sliding arm that moves the vise head back and forth. Again, narrow parts (3/4" and 1" wide) don't have a natural perpendicular bend. Be sure to go through and tighten all nuts and bolts before first use. Everything had a sink. Do not overtighten the screw at the end of the lever rod or it will not slide. The lever shaft has no stop when opening the vise and pushes the adjustable clamping block forward to the next piece. is clamped by constantly changing the height of the clamping device. Feel that there is room for improvement. I suggest you spend a little more and buy the Kreg version or something similar.
