My work laptop and personal desktop are both connected to my monitor, and using two keyboards and mice (which quickly became tedious) or plugging and unplugging a USB hub between computers was annoying. This simple device gives me the ability to switch quickly and my desktop is now free of a single mouse and keyboard. My only gripe is that the small indicators at the top of the switch showing which computer is plugged in are very small and almost impossible to see unless you're looking directly at them. Otherwise the USB switches after a few seconds when I press the button and I can start both computers at the same time. The switch itself feels solid and comes with two USB 3 cables connecting two computers. It can be connected to an AC power source, but does not come with an AC adapter. I assume this applies to USB devices that draw more power, like hard drives? It works great to switch my wireless mouse and gaming keyboard without external power.
