Review on πŸ”’ Universal Receiver Lock - Trimax TS32 - 1/2" and 5/8" with Stainless Steel Sleeve by Mark Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as advertised

very happy with locking pin. The reason I bought it was so I didn't have to worry about my ball or beaver crotch getting pinched. Pen with socket installed works with standard 5/8" receivers. Using a socketless 1/2" Class II pin would result in too much side slip on one of these tiny receivers because they are so narrow. There is no spacer, but that's ok. I like being able to use it in a car trailer if needed. Versatility. Sleeveless 1/2" pen rated at 22,000 lbs. The 5/8" pin with sleeve is rated 33,000 lbs and mates with a Class V towing kit. Two wrenches included. I bought two locking pins at the same time and both came with the same key. I assume this was intentional since it was a surprise bonus. Each key has a four digit code engraved on a small plaque in the plastic handle so they are not all the same. I don't expect it to last very long. I'll probably reinforce it with tape or duct tape to keep it in place. When it's gone, it's gone. It cannot be returned or replaced. It's all in gleaming stainless steel and meant to last a lifetime.

Cons
  • so far so good
