I needed a quick connector that mounts to PVC poles and will connect two wires end to end. Using this product I spliced 2 connectors (slip/wedge) and then attached a pair to the PVC using Shoe Goo (essentially rubber glue) and a zip tie. These quick connects work well with bare solid or stranded wire. But due to my particular application, I needed to be sure of a consistently strong connection, so I added hex crimp terminals to the terminals. Now when I had to choose the tabs of insulation that would fit into this quick connector (I have provided pictures of the connector tabs, side close-up of the quick connector and how I installed and fastened the dual quick connectors to the PVC pipe) I found that these quick connectors are easy to use, compact and easy to install (they have a small "notch" in the top center to keep the cable tie securely in place) and provide a solid electrical connection. in relatively low voltage applications (protected portable antenna design). They aren't "waterproof", they don't have RF shielding - they weren't designed to be that way. But they are good value for money and a good temporary installation/connection solution.
