Update 10/26/2021: Screen freezes while waiting for EV to turn on and seems to freeze. Still charges the car normally, but the box gets very hot (warmer than the advertised temperature). I decided to return it. So far, this works without any problems with L2 high-speed charging. I plugged it into a kitchen outlet when I needed more power than the L1 could supply while waiting for my custom circuit to be installed. can also set the max current in case I need to use an adapter to connect to a less powered circuit. The pictures show a knob on the block that sets the maximum current, but that knob is missing on this 40A version. The manufacturer tells me this is only an option for the 32A version. This limits my plan to use it in the Car take a set of adapters to adapt to different energy sources on the go.
