worked like a charm on a DIY kitchen remodel to connect the cabinets together.

I used this on a kitchen renovation project. I assembled new cabinets myself and was very afraid of missing the center of the racks at the front of each cabinet. You will need to drill long screws (2.5" or 3") into the front of each case. Maybe the pros can always hit the middle, but I didn't believe in myself. So I bought this mount and used it for each hole. The only downside was that it wasn't small enough (whatever the things you screw in are called). I needed this part to fit the drill snugly. So I bought a short piece of copper pipe, cut it short and hammered it in. There were enough cabinets and holes in the project that I expanded the inside of the copper tubing, but I simply knocked out the old one and inserted the new one. While it seems like I messed up every other task in this do-it-yourself remodel, the screw connecting the cabinets never slipped once. (It appears to go through the front of the closet - it didn't work.)

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • There are some nuances
