This self warming cat bed/mat is exactly what I wanted. My house is usually quite chilly and my cat likes to lie under the covers to warm up and take a nap. I stumbled across this little gem and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I didn't even take it out of my pocket and my cat stuck his nose in and tried to help me get it out. When I came out I put him on the floor and he immediately laid on top of him. When my show is on. He is lying on the bed/mat. So I think it keeps him warm. I actually bought this to put his favorite spot high up in his scratching post. I'm sure he'll enjoy it just as much as if he were down. i will warn you if you turn it into a "box". it folds easily. So I had to open one end and put it on the platform. You may just need to tinker a bit to see what works best for you. In general. The cat approved of this bed!
