This clock requires a battery, LR626 says on the box. There will be one in hours and one additional. To start the watch, you removed the little white clip from the crown (the little thing on the face), set the time, and pushed the crown in. It should start. To get the batteries you need a scalpel (something thin and strong) and a watch from the scabbard. There will be a tiny area at the back with more pronounced lips. Use the scalpel to gently but firmly lift your back. Be careful not to scratch the watch. You can also just use the scalpel around the back. Remove the white plastic piece and replace the batteries. You can also find videos by searching "how to open playback". Just press enough to put the back on. Verification? Instructions must accompany it. It just isn't. You are expected to solve the problem yourself. Putting the pad on felt abysmal after trying to take it off. Hopefully it doesn't break any time soon due to the amount of work that goes into setting it up and running it.
