7440 outlets are not universal
Not all 7440 outlets are the same configuration/style. This socket will not fit to replace my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero. The socket on my truck has a larger outer diameter. This socket is too small, it won't snap into my brake light housing. Luckily I found a new B/L body with 7440 socket and bulb from another supplier at a fair price. "Truck repaired" - this is how it is checked again. Should not be refunded so it will be added to my auto parts box for another day.
