Review on 🐍 Chrome Snake Chain with Guardian Extra-Fine Details by Roxana Kotarba

My biggest issue with this product is the inaccurate labeling. Also, I'm not impressed with the quality, but it doesn't feel like complete junk and would probably be fine for a small dog. I bought this as a Great Dane show collar and just wouldn't trust it to withstand anything other than a light tug. I ordered a 22" length which came to 22" including the rings. The tag says 22" x 4mm, but the chain is NOT 4mm thick. I don't have calipers at home, but I've put a picture of a chain on a tape measure for reference. To the best of my knowledge, using improvised means the collar I received has a hair thickness of less than 3mm. The millimeter is quite important in this case! Although not continuous, the cross-sectional area of a 3mm chain is just over half the cross-sectional area of a 4mm chain (7mm² vs. 12.5mm²) I have no idea what metrics the various snake chain manufacturers use to denote the size of a product and I am more frustrated than ever when I find something! Sliding chain collars are gauged by the gauge/thickness of the metal (not the width of the entire link) but I can't find anything on this chain that measures 4mm although it's really very good I'll add Attached is a photo of the snake chain next to the 1.8mm flat link chain I bought at the show for reference. I like that the end rings are small, but the welds aren't very clean. I will not leave this collar.
