Audio cuts out on song change

Due to what I suspect is a firmware issue, the audio stops when a song change occurs. Pausing and pressing play again brings the audio back. Not a problem listening to a long set, but a problem with playlists. This doesn't happen with any other Bluetooth device I own, so all I can say is that it's a product issue.
