I bought this AED kit for youth education and it helped me a lot. Adolescents (12-16 years) were apprehensive about using it and had never touched the AED prior to the workshop, but felt more comfortable after using this training device. The device is smaller than I thought and very basic but worked well giving them two scenarios. This allowed them to turn it on, place the pads, analyze it, and press the shock button (without a real shock, of course). In addition, real-time CPR was performed after the shock so the teens could see how long it would take and we were able to discuss the need for a partner change for two-person CPR and discuss other situations. They spent a lot of time playing with this device and seemed more comfortable by the end of our session. I'm glad I bought it and will continue to use it with our teenage groups.
