Sansha Girls Signature Swimsuit Y2552C Skylar, Mulberry, 14 Year Big Kid G: Mixed Feelings Review

It's hard to know what to do with the Sansha Girls' Signature Tank Leotard Y2552C Skylar Swimsuit. On the one hand, it's a well-fitting, colorful swimsuit that looks great on my 14-year-old daughter. The mulberry color is particularly beautiful and really sets it apart in its class. The size is also great: youth size G fits her perfectly. On the other hand, there are a few points that make me hesitant to give this swimsuit an unreserved recommendation. First, the material is pretty thin and doesn't offer as much coverage as we'd like. My daughter is rather modest and embarrassed when she finds her bathing suit too revealing. While this isn't a problem for everyone, it's worth keeping in mind. Second, the seams on the swimsuit are a bit rough and prickly. My daughter has sensitive skin and found that the stitching around the armholes and leg openings became chafing after hours of dance practice. This might not be an issue for everyone, but it's worth noting if you or your child have the same skin sensitivity. Overall I have mixed feelings about this swimsuit. While it looks great and fits well, the obvious downsides are the thin material and spiky stitching. If you're looking for a colorful swimsuit that will make your child stand out in class, this might be a good option, but be prepared to run into some potential comfort issues.

Pros
  • DURABLE: This leotard is made from strong and durable fabric that will stand up to repeated use and washing, making it a great investment for parents and dance teachers who want to get the most out of their kids' dancewear.
Cons
  • While the color of the mulberry tree may be attractive to some, the lack of color variety may not appeal to everyone.
