Review on 🔵 Versatile Lehigh PBTH Spool Holder Utility Hook in eye-catching Blue color by Brian Benford

I didn't use this for paper towels like most people probably do, but to store lots of rolls of tape and spools of connecting wires on an electronics workbench. I was concerned that my (possibly) non-standard use for this might not work, as I expected the horizontal dowel to stick out too far for its intended use (paper towel holder) and reduce critical desk space. I was positively surprised in this respect, the distance from the dowel to the back is basically okay. My only issue with this item is that the hooks on the top and bottom panels are quite flimsy and don't line up with the holes on the perforated panel. Since they didn't line up (maybe warped from the packaging?), I pushed a little harder than I expected to snap them into place. Almost half of the plastic hooks on top have broken off. You really aren't strong enough. Either the hooks need to be made stronger, or the "backplate" needs to be reinforced to keep it from warping during shipping (this may be why the hooks didn't align properly). On the other hand, I couldn't find a similar product anywhere else, and I googled it pretty thoroughly. Since I couldn't find another spool holder for holeplates, I would buy it again, just being extra careful with the hooks. But if I could find a spool holder elsewhere I would try this one instead.
