Easy to install if you are patient!

The old saying, measure twice and cut once. If you have supplies ready, this is an easy task. I only recommend the GILA window film set because it's easier than mixing your own and buying a small tool to smooth out any air bubbles. In addition, the small blade that comes with the kit is much easier to hold than a razor blade. You can find this kit at your local Home Depot, Menards, or possibly Lowes. I bought different types of window film for my home; including sunscreen for the south side of my house and I've never had a problem installing or staying on windows. I like this style because they let in light without having to collect dust or blinds. It takes patience to measure correctly so you don't have to cut that much at once. It is also necessary to slowly and carefully remove the pad! No need to rip and tear. Sometimes it takes me a good 5 minutes for the backing to peel off at the corner, but that's no work if you're in a hurry.

Pros
  • INSTALLATION TIPS - Before installation, make sure the window surface, edges and corners are sufficiently clean and free of dust; Spray plenty of water on both the window surface and the back of the window film during installation to ensure effective attachment. After installation, trim the edges and leave enough gaps around the edges to easily squeeze out air bubbles.
