This classic style chair is good value but doesn't look cheap. Whether you like to sit in it is an open question for every buyer. I wouldn't normally buy anything where comfort, quality, and size are important, but at under $200 for a chair that looks this classy, I thought I'd take a chance. It arrived in a box and was easy to assemble by screwing into the footrests and gently pushing the seat into place until it clicked into place. The fabric feels nice, looks comfortable and feels durable. The color is the perfect combination of red and orange. I wouldn't like more orange or more red, but this mixture of two colors gives the room a strong colourfulness that draws attention without being loud and flashy. Like it a lot. This chair is the right size for me. I am a 5'11 male of average build. Sitting or lying down, it fits me well, with enough space to be comfortable. Cozy but not crowded, you can turn around there. My friends under 5ft 5in found the distance between the front and back of the seat too much which left their legs in an awkward position with their knees not bent and resting on the floor. This chair is light enough to move easily. But that lightness also means that if you're going to put it on any floor, you'll need to add something under the legs to help it stick, otherwise it'll slide a lot. I have my front feet on an 8x10 carpet mat and my back feet on the floor and I think this will work to keep them in place. The only complaint is that the comfort of the seat and backrest is not very good. I expect the seat foam will break down and soften over time like my sofa, but the backrest looks like a flat piece of cardboard with light padding and a nice fabric over it. I can take it and for under $200 I can use it for many months but I'm already considering replacing it in the long term. It supports my back well, just not soft or comfortable. So for sitting it does its job perfectly. For reading in reclining mode, it works. If the same chair were made in a luxury model for $100 more I would buy it and be very satisfied. I tried out the West Elm Rhys Mid-Century Recliner Chair this weekend. Google it: It looks like almost exactly the same chair with slight differences in the details of the chair and maybe the backrest of the seat. Despite the superficial resemblance, it feels significantly better in the seat and backrest. But it costs $699 and takes 6-8 weeks to get the same color. I'm glad I bought this chair because it allows me to check how the chair looks in my apartment and how often I actually use it. If I use it often I'll probably replace it with something like a West Elm on sale and give it to someone who needs it. But for now I would recommend it for the balance of features and price.
