A new parent must have an inverter in the car. I'm becoming more and more forgetful due to lack of sleep, but I'm plugging my phones, laptops, and tablets into the car more than ever. With this 200W car inverter, my wife was able to pump milk in the car while she was away. Additional USB charging ports are ideal for charging our sound machines and baby monitors. A power of 200 watts is sufficient for most devices. I would not connect more powerful appliances such as a toaster, microwave or hair dryer. I'm pretty sure you'll either blow the inverter, blow some fuses, or damage the battery in the car. The inverter itself also has a power indicator. I would say if it outputs less than 12 volts with the engine running it could be too much or your car's battery is bad.
