I am using this camera as a baby monitor connected to a Raspberry Pi 3 running MotionEyeOS. It is auto-detected and supports both motion detection mode and fast network camera mode. I want the IR sensor to control if the IR LEDs are on, but not the IR filter on the camera lens. I've noticed that it makes an audible noise when it's turned on and cycles on and off intermittently due to the quasi-lit nature of the room, which isn't great for a sleeping baby. However, there is a jumper you can disable so the camera's IR filter is always in place or always out of place. The easiest way to set this up the way you want it is to turn on the device and cover the IR sensor on the LED array until you hear the filter snap into place with an audible click. Now disconnect the USB cable from your device, remove the IR jumper (labeled "IR/ON IR/OFF") and the IR filter will always be "off" no matter what the IR sensor detects. The IR sensor can still switch LEDs, but the filter remains deactivated. In addition, there is a separate jumper for the IR sensor, so you can disable it as well. Very happy with how customizable it is!
