Review on πŸ” DANCO Gas Test Gauge 0-15 psi at 1/10 Increments, Chrome-Plated: Accurate and Reliable Pressure Measurement for Gas Systems (94352) by Ken Coste

The needle fell off and the device had to be disassembled to fix it. Unsuccessful

The probe arrived with the needle in the bottom of the case. I had to open it to put the needle back in. This made a number on the gauge and after that I could only get it down to 11 PSI. I used it, but after talking to the plumber, he told me that I need to turn the gas and water much higher so that there are no breakthroughs in the future. I removed that gauge and put a 100 psi gauge on the fitting. I've maintained 50psi on my gas and PEX for over a week each. So the pressure gauge is nonsense, but the chopper valve works fine. Others have complained of a gauge leak on the fitting, I don't think that would be a problem for me, it was difficult to remove with a good sealant. But since I had to disassemble everything to fix the needle, we'll never know. It might be best to just find the one that fits and buy a separate sensor to attach it to.

Pros
  • Decent work
Cons
  • Bad experience
