I bought this because I wanted a small scratching post/head for our bedroom so our cat can look out the window. Mine came with instructions and was easy to put together but not very strong. It wobbles a bit and I'm afraid the cat will knock it over if it tries to jump out of the tree. It's fine as a first time kitten scratcher, but I wouldn't recommend it for adult cats. I had read previous reviews and knew it was small and not very durable, but I bought it anyway because the price was good. I thought it would be ok because our cat is quite small (less than 8 pounds). For it to be secure, it needs a larger base.
