the thing keeps what it promises

the thing does what it promises. could definitely find more wifi in the area. The signal strength of the existing WLAN has also increased. I have a public hotspot near my home. it's out of sight. Before Alpha, I was able to connect to the access point, but it was very erratic. The connection dropped often and the download speed was frustrating. After connecting to this product, the signal went from 1-2 cycles to 3 cycles. the connection is stable, the download speed is not as good as in my home network but very usable. The download speed is around 7.6 Mbit/s. Remember this is a public hotspot. I can't figure out what the normal maximum download speed is. However, that's a stable 7.6Mbps connection that I wouldn't have access to without this product. I also got a longer 9dbi antenna with this package. I'm not sure how much better 9 dBi is. I did not run any tests or compare statistics. At first glance, the standard 5dBi also showed the same AP with 3 bands. since I bought a package that included a 9dBi antenna. this is what i use now. in general I am very satisfied. I'm curious to see how the signal works in bad weather. Winter is coming, so this will be the final test. as for durability, which is part of this review. how can you comment on this it is brand new out of the box. I hope the device will survive the warranty period. There is no way I can count as bravery. if the question is how well the adapter is made and what material it is made of. oh plastic! it is light! the device does not heat up. but the sending and receiving blue light is flashing and it's a bit annoying.

Pros
  • beautiful packaging
Cons
  • infinitely sluggish
