Review on Yubico YubiKey 5C NFC: Strengthen Online πŸ”‘ Security with USB-C and NFC Two-Factor Authentication Key by Brandie Zhang

fantastic product.

This is an AWESOME product and looks like a failsafe way to protect yourself from bad guys, but I think I'll have to kick myself to make sure my phone even has that NFC feature (2 NFC keys before purchase). it's not like this. To solve this problem, I just bought the USB-C version, only to find out that it doesn't fit in my phone's charging port (I'm a complete electronics idiot! Of course, I'm happy to post my ignorance online too, of course). . About $150 later (2 NFC keys and C key) I still can't unlock my phone. I am sure there is a workaround for this. I'm still trying to find out if there is an authenticator. Telephone upgrade is also possible. mine is going to be pretty Stone Age. in a nutshell. Make sure your phone is NFC equipped or buy a dongle that fits your phone. The product itself (despite said ignorance) is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone looking for the best security measures. The peace and quiet alone is worth the money! Update: I replaced my crappy phone (which should have been replaced years ago) with one that has NFC functionality. Now when I want to access a website where I have a Yubikey as a 2fa, I take one of the keys from my wallet and swipe it near my phone to unlock the website. that works great!

Pros
  • There's some truth to that
Cons
  • Minor issues
