Review on 👢 DARCO International Hi All Purpose Boot - Large Size, Lightweight and Versatile - 2 Pound Weight by Chris Morgan

I am comparing this to: ProCare Post-Op Shoe, Square Toe, Medium. I have an avulsion fracture of my fifth metatarsal. I wear women's size 10 or men's size 8.5 in Skechers and New Balance shoes. With the exception of the closed toe on Darco, these shoes appear almost identical. The sole seems to be about the same height and density. Both models are equipped with two Velcro fasteners and have a square toe. DARKO: harder. The Velcro and padding that make up the outer portion of the shoe feel a bit thicker and more premium. The addition of a tongue under the Velcro and over the foot adds to the comfort feel. The insole is beautiful. The stitching in my ProCare lace-up caused pain in the sole of my foot in ProCare shoes but not in Darco. Darco has a shorter insole. It's shorter than my men's Skechers 8.5. Three of my fingers touch the fabric that makes up the toe and tongue of the boot. This fabric is soft mesh and doesn't offer as much protection as regular shoes, so having my toes right on the edge is annoying. However, the shoes are a bit wide and I am concerned that if I choose a larger shoe it will be too wide to provide stability. The ProCare shoes, on the other hand, were the right width and offered a good 1/2 inch clearance between my toenails and the edge of the shoe. I wasn't afraid that I might trip over something. Therefore, the ProCare shoes seemed to be more reliable than the Darco. Despite my concerns about shoe length, Darco is the clear winner. It immediately felt more comfortable and stable than the ProCare and more like a work shoe. ProCare showed my fuzzy toes which was unprofessional.
