Review on 🚙 Black Jeep Wrangler Side Storage Bag by Rightline Gear 100J74-B by Scott Decoteau

This is one of those products that works for more than it was designed to do. :) I bought this because I needed an efficient way to store my travel gear in a Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I stow my stuff in the trunk, but I couldn't find anything that would fit over the passenger-side wheel well and take up the hard-to-use space along the window. As it's shorter on one end and longer on the other, it fits perfectly over the bike. The straps are of course useless unless you want to install something to attach them to the stands - which would be possible. The size of the bag itself is a bit misleading to me. It will last a lot longer than it looks. I've got all my cooking/camping gear for four and I'm not even close to stocking it up. I haven't touched the packets yet. It also comes with a plastic insert for the bottom. It was kind of PITA when I first unwrapped the product and started packing, but it matched the shape of the bottom of the bag and everything is fine now. :) This is NOT a rain cover. Splash water protection yes, continuous rain no. :( I have mixed feelings about this. I understand what the manufacturers are doing and they're not trying to pretend it's supposed to be submersible. Wanted to hang it on a tree away from bears and other animals, it will withstand the rain for hours .The bin itself is good but the zippers don't seem quite there.I don't own a jeep but I ride with people who REALLY have jeeps.I definitely see the usefulness of this product.It's well constructed and well thought out.If If I only had a jeep it would be at the top of my shopping list Outer plastic cover.GREAT IDEA!.The outside is easy to clean unlike nylon duffel bags etc.I can sit under my car at camp and all I have to do is wipe up the splatters when it rains.Besides the rain, only two things I can think of to improve the product: one for the other side of the car mobile phone AFAIKT from their website, this is only made for the driver's side t. I would like a passenger side version that I could flip over to use on MY driver side. :) I also wish the front and rear were a bit stiffer. The plastic on the bottom is great and goes easy on it, but it would be nice to see the same plastic integrated into the front and back to add some stiffness. Right now, when the felt is loaded, the gear settles, making the bag bulge out like a gym bag. But overall I like it. I've wanted something like this for years and it works and fits great. Highly recommended!
