High-quality case fan Fans

The quality of this fan convinced me. It's not just "quiet"; it makes no noise at all. Airflow is excellent. It replaced a CoolerMaster fan whose bearing began to wobble after less than a year of use. I no longer sit at the computer and think: "What is that noise? Drive not working? However, unfortunately I could not use this fan for the front air intake because it is too thick. It's 30mm while I need a 20mm fan for that position. So I use this Thermaltake Pure 20 for my ceiling hood in my computer case. I would like Thermaltake to make a 20mm version of this fan so I can use it in either position. FYI, design note: In your computer case, use the fan with the highest CFM airflow in the exhaust position (usually on the ceiling). and lower CFM fans for intake. Also seal or tape any holes that don't serve a purpose. This way the fans don't fight each other and there is less dust accumulation. Thermaltake's fan is powerful enough that you can filter the incoming air with a thin intake filter (but clean it often).

Pros
  • are understandable even for the old
Cons
  • Big and clumsy
