I bought two of these bases to match the two old rooster bases I already had. I put them on the burners of my stove (instead of the burner caps). I bought these because I wanted a semi-matching stand for each burner. I drew them myself because I wanted them to be the same color as my original pair. They already have a nice glossy black finish and rubber caps on the stand tabs. I actually bought more lids for my old coasters because they don't have rubber lids and I don't want to scratch the stove. In summary, these are very good coasters for the price. I've searched all over the internet for cast iron rooster or chicken coasters. They are, but much more expensive. They work great for me. The photos show a new coaster that I painted with acrylic paint, all four coasters (two old and two new) and one of my original old cast iron coasters.
