This hat runs very large. Unless you have a head like a pumpkin, I don't see who needs a big/X-big. Went back for a medium/large size and it's much better now. Not a very comfortable hat. The edge above the eyebrows is very hard and gives me a headache after a few hours of use. I folded it with my hands to make a crease and it got more comfortable but still not the biggest. Maybe it's just the shape of my head. The hat is of very good quality.
