Packaging and accessories: The actual design of the driver box is unique and well put together. I love the Lego look and it's super slim profile, all in black. The buds are cold to the touch and smooth. No complaints here. However, the standard cable that comes with the headphones is thick, tangle free and covered in plastic which makes it quite durable BUT I highly recommend that you replace the cable as the part that connects to the headphones isn't very looks soothing and may loosen over time. Many people have also criticized the case for being too slippery and I have to agree. It's also quite compact considering there's barely enough room for the headphones and relatively thick cable, requiring you to fold the headphones very tightly every time you put them back in (you can't just quickly slip them into your pocket throw). What sets this case apart from the P1 and others is that its ultra-compact size makes it easy to slip into your pocket, and the case itself is made from a durable metal alloy, so it's unlikely to break. They are also very flat, dull green and lined with smooth felt material on the inside. Sound. The sound is why these headphones are worth every penny and deserve more than 5 stars. First, the electrostatic driver is beautiful. In contrast to the P1's planar magnetic driver, it is very efficient. This means you can easily plug these headphones into your laptop, smartphone or whatever you're using (half volume on the laptop and just 60-70 percent volume on the phone to make them loud enough). I highly recommend using a DAC as the sound on my smartphone was a little less detailed, especially the bass, but it's not necessary. To describe the sound in one word, the best word to describe them is: INTENSE. Your regular IEMs. They try in every way they can to cram as many high frequencies into your head as tightly and quickly as possible. You will hear every little detail in the song especially the cymbals, snare drums, little chimes, noises etc etc and it's absolutely gorgeous. You'll enter these IEMs expecting the crazy but familiar experience of listening to your favorite music, and learning so much as you leave that you didn't realize it in the songs you've listened to over and over again. I would like to emphasize that I am sensitive to high frequencies, but they have not rubbed me yet and I have already spent several hours with them. BUT if you mostly listen to heavy metal or rock OR rap these details can be tiring for me. I wouldn't say these genres are a weakness of these IEMs, but definitely not a strength. You can still hear those genres, but the setup isn't perfect. This level of detail is perfect for those who love jazz, movie/anime themes, classical music, and hip hop. Anything that has a collection of real instruments and vocals and is well recorded will shine in these headphones. I was amazed to hear Hedwig's tune from Harry Potter and Welcome to Jurassic Park. Just amazing for IEM. Along with exceptional high-frequency detail, you get pristine separation and imaging. Each element of the song is easily distinguished and sounds clear (no similes), and you can tell exactly where it's coming from on the note T. The electrostatic driver picks up high frequencies with ease and has lightning-fast frequency response. The IEM is V-shaped, so the mids are recessed. About what you would expect from any other IEM in this price range. The singing is also slightly colored. Definitely not a neutral sound. Ariana is half an octave higher, which best describes her voice and the rest of the vocals. It's something to get used to, but the same high-end clarity extends to the mids as well. Another highlight of this IEM is BASS. My god, that's one of the most beautiful basses I've heard from IEM. Unlike most other IEMs that pollute the sound with tons of mid-bass and very little sub-bass, they are extremely deep, rich and have ultra-low frequencies. For example, in the interstellar soundtracks and Ann Dudley's The Longest Walk, the bass is impressive. Some of the best songs I've ever heard. Verdict: Don't be fooled. Many IEM manufacturers like to add 4, 5, maybe even 6 dynamic driver balanced armatures and advertise their IEMs saying we have 10 drivers! Don't get me wrong, they sound pretty good, but none of the ones I've heard even come close to what this electrostatic driver is capable of. This driver is capable of more detail, clarity and quality than some balanced fixtures and the dynamic driver on ribbons handles the bass better than almost any IEM in this price range and I'd say up to $250-$300 Dollar. While the P1 tapes hit the mids, the tapes hit the highs and lows twice as hard. If you're into rock and rap a lot, I would just go for the KZ or Tin T series (preferably 2), but otherwise buy these right away! Well worth your time and money and I'm sure as the hype around them increases they will have hundreds of reviews and cost more.
