After adjusting the voltage with the CV knob, adjust the CC knob by turning it clockwise with no load until the voltage drops. This means it is below the lowest possible power setting. Now you can connect the load and slowly increase the CC by turning it counterclockwise. If you connect a load without following the steps above, the module will most likely be damaged (in my case the module was able to run 15 amps at 24 volts for about a minute and burned out while I was turning the potentiometer). The module burned out, there was a short circuit at the input. This can damage other components such as the battery or the power supply. For safety reasons, I recommend installing a PPTC fuse (or other) with auto-reset on the input that corresponds to your load.
