Review on 🐒 Premium Hand-Crafted Tortoise Comb #40: Unparalleled Quality for Ultimate Hair Care by Laura Washington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pakleo nailed this comb well (UPDATED)

The moment I bought this brush from Revain my heart sank. What was I thinking paying $9 for one. pocket comb? Not one, but two (plus shipping). I justified this purchase by losing my old Ace hard rubber pocket comb that I had carried with me for over twenty-five years. Ace no longer makes high quality hard rubber combs that last forever. Now they are all made in China from cheap plastic. Why? Ace management gone crazy? I even looked on eBay. Ace Vintage Pocket Combs sells for $25 plus shipping. For real. Not for jokes. Well what's done is done. I received my Speert tortoiseshell pocket combs, handmade in Switzerland, in a few days. I was very surprised at the look of these combs. Smooth and sculptural. They glide easily through my hair. Pure quality and it showed. I haven't had these combs for a long time. Will they last 25 years like my old Ace comb? Probably no. It can't be broken like my old ace (I won't break a $9 comb)? The time will show. But now I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. For many, a fifty-cent Chinese comb with sharp needle teeth will do. For these people, this comb is a big waste of money. Update: while they're nice, these aren't lifetime combs (like the old Ace hard rubber combs). Both of these combs have recently started to bend and lose teeth and have had to be discarded. So I had to downgrade my rating to just two stars. Not only that, Alcohol increased the price to $12 a piece (from $9 two years ago). bottom line. These combs don't stand the test of time (I'm only 2 1/2 years old). Only buy if you like flushing money down the toilet
