Review on 💨 PNY 1TB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive: Fast Transfer Speeds of 400MB/s by Nick Brunner

Very very good on paper but not very good in real life. In general, I like PNY products; They have always been economical and have performed better than I was promised. But I can't say that about this USB stick. While sequential copy/read speeds are as promised, and disk writes are actually quite good, this drive has a very odd "ticking" lag when viewing photos directly from it. So when you double-click an image and try to open it, it sometimes shows a delay that lasts for about 2-3 seconds (almost like a hard drive sleeping), or up to 30 seconds if your image viewer is just closed, for example . Descent. I use Windows 10 Basic Photos and Irfanview to view images and this has not happened with HDDs, other SSDs or USB sticks. Very disappointed as compared to the competition's 512GB sticks, the PNY is definitely smaller and has a better design. This one looks way better than their old plastic models. But. I don't recommend this if you're looking for a drive to store photos or other large image files. I still think it's good enough for moving large ISO files and such, but there must be other options for that.
